Advanced Painter - Painting Outside of the Can!

Are you ready to take your Painter images to the next level. Then join Jim for this exciting workshop that will expand your Painter knowledge and get your creative juices flowing.

This advanced workshop, limited to 12 students, is designed for photographers experienced with both Photoshop and Corel Painter. The goal is to explore new and innovative ways of creating art using the Painter interface. If you are new to Corel Painter, this is not the workshop for you.

Join Jim and unleash your inner artist. Learn to work outside the can (no bathroom humor....Please). We won’t just be painting pretty babies.....we will be creating works of ART!

The workshop will cover:

  1.  Kicking it up in Photoshop. Explore some new and different techniques in Photoshop to prepare your images for Painter. These techniques will give you an advantage prior to opening your images in Painter.
  2. Clone it again Sam. Some new and innovating ways of using the Cloner Brushes...cool, why didn’t I think of that! Plus Jim has some custom brushes he has created that you will receive as part of the workshop.
  3. The Greatest Brush Ever! We will explore every aspect of the Brush Creator. You might even create that one “Painter Brush” that will have every Painter Artist beating a path to your door.
  4. A Montage by any other Name. The wonderful thing about digital imaging, Photoshop and Painter is the fact we are not limited to the original image. We will have fun blending images and creating Painter Montages. You will also receive a CD with a collection of elements Jim has collected for creating Montage images.
  5. Embellish Me! We will study the technique of applying traditional oils and acrylics to add texture and color to your digital paintings. Each student will have an image to work on with both traditional oils and acrylics.
  6. Hummm Marketing? Not only will we give you a few ideas on how to sell your new Painter images, but we will also explore ways to improve your standing as an Artist in the community.
